World War Z: an oral history of the zombie war

World War Z is the best book I've read in a while as Max Brooks is the amazing author. This is a fictional book about the world coming to an apocalypse at the hands of a disease that turns humans into zombies. The disease starts in a small Chinese tribe when a boy goes diving in a lake looking for treasure with his dad and is suddenly bitten, but no one knows what bit the boy.
This is the first recorded outbreak of many. The Chinese government tries to contain the little outbreaks at the start but suddenly they're popping up all over the country. The Chinese government doesn't want to look crazy by telling the rest of the world they've have had a zombie outbreak and to be on the look out for gray skinned man eating zombies, so instead they try to hide it. Their method of "hiding it" is to kill the infected people. The problem is the infected people, soon to be zombies, that aren't eaten alive naturally don't want to be killed off by the Chinese government. So instead they smuggle themselves out of the country. This only contributes to the spreading of the disease.
The inevitable happens as the disease starts to spread around the world and more and more people are infected. Yet still each government is trying to hide that they have "zombies" in their country. The zombies are invincible. Destroying the brain is only solution to kill the zombies. As this disease is rampaging around the world governments are no longer able to hide the outbreaks."Retaliations" against the zombies start. The mindless zombies only know one thing and that is to kill the living.
As the battles begin the world governments are thinking this is going to a easily solved problem with their super sonic nuclear missiles. What they don't realize is blast waves and radiation will do absolutely nothing to these monsters. The endless unstoppable hordes of zombies keep killing off the living which in turn keeps increasing the zombie population. The government army's can't do anything about the increasing numbers, and they realize there is no escaping the zombies. Citizens go north up to Canada because they think the harsh cold will freeze the goo blooded zombies. They're one hundred percent right, until spring comes.
World War Z is a book I don't think I will ever forget as it's fast paced, action packed, storyline is constantly keeping you wondering what's going to happen next! Max Brooks did an amazing job writing this book. I especially enjoyed the fact in was written like a journal. It was different and refreshing from the normal styles of writing.
This book has some adult language and a few scenes are pretty detailed about how they attack the zombies. Besides those few things this book was amazing and I recommend it to all.

This book and the other zombie book written by the same author are the most realistic 2012 books. Every country reacts like it would it is almost scary.
