Catching Fire

By: Suzanne Collins

The genre of this book is fiction. The theme of this story is to stand up for what’s right and perseverance. Catching Fire is the second book in the Hunger Game series. This book is in post apoctalipictol times. Katniss has just won the hunger games with her fellow tribute Peeta. They are trying to settle into their new way of life where they are rich and famous. The next challenge in their lives is that they must go on a victory tour to each district. If you thought it was hard enough killing other people in the arena imagine having to see how torn apart their families are. They make it through the victory tour barely when evil President Snow gives them a huge problem. He decides that for the 75th anniversary of the hunger games all the living and able winners of the hunger games will be to tributes for the next hunger games. This means the hunger games will be even more challenging than the normal hunger games since all the other tributes actually won. Since Katniss is the only female winner from district 12 she HAS to go. Katniss goes to the hunger games and must face challenges she never expected. This book is such a page turner! Once you start reading in you can't stop. Suzanne Collins did such an amazing job on this book. She shows that it’s okay to be a rebel as long as it’s for good honest reasons. I agree with her on that 100%. This book is a lot like the world around us now. All these countries around the world are breaking away from evil dictators. They are making freedom for themselves and the future generations. Honestly threes nothing that bugs me more than people that are rude and cruel to innocent people would can’t defend or protect themselves. This is the perfect book for me; I would recommend this book to anyone.
