After a crazy ride in a magical bus, Harry ends up at Diagon Valley, a magical town where he buys his books and cloaks for Hogwarts. While he stays there he finds out that a prisoner from Azkaban has escaped. Azkaban is a prison that is impossible to escape and many people go mad while they are there. It's the first time someone has ever escaped this prison. He was one of the most watched prisoners at Azkaban so it's even crazier that he escaped. His name was Serius Black.
It has been rumored that Serius Black is after Harry Potter because Harry is one of the only people in Voldemort's way of coming back to full power. The guards at Azkaban overheard him in his sleep saying, "He's at Hogwarts, he's at Hogwarts." Now there are tons of dementors on the lookout for him or keeping guard at the outside walls of Hogwarts. Dementors drain all the happiness out of you if you get near them. They bring back your worst memories and make you relive the horrible moments of your life.
As scared as Harry is of Serius Black, he is even more scared of these dementors. Many people are making fun of Harry because whenever a dementor gets near him, he passes out. Harry now has to find a way to conquer his fears of the dementors and of Serius Black.
This book, like the rest of the series, has been turned into a movie. The movie was really good, but the book was better. With a story this good, it would be really hard to mess the movie up. The movie does a good job finding actors that match the description of the characters in the book. I would recommend reading the book so you know what is going on. It would make the movie even better.
This series just keeps getting better and better! In this book I never found myself bored. The book just kept getting more exciting every page. It is an action-packed book that can keep you reading forever! I never wanted to put it down. I would recommend this book to anyone!

Dwayne,
I have read the HP series before but you make me want to reread it again. Mighty fine review.
Reb. Great review. I forget most of the first three books and now I'm considering watching the movies instead of rereading them:). Nice job.
