Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

All summer long Harry has been stuck with the Dursleys, his muggle family. He can't wait to get back to Hogwarts after having such a great year last year. He has been lonely since his family doesn't like to talk to him. He also hasn't been receiving letters from his best friends Ron and Hermione. When his birthday comes around he hopes that something good might happen like the year before when he was surprisingly picked up to go Hogwarts, a wizard school. This year was different however when an impish creature comes to tell him that he must NOT go back to Hogwarts. Harry, confused and frustrated, ignores him and goes to Hogwarts.

After soaring to Hogwarts in Ron's flying car, trouble hits almost immediately. People are turning into stone at times they're all alone. Everyone starts to freak out that the Chamber of Secrets might have been opened yet again. This is a place hidden in the school built by Salazar Slytherin himself years and years ago. Many think that there is a monster inside the chamber that might be attacking the students. As more and more people get turned to stone, students start blaming others on who might be doing this terrible crime. Soon, rumors spread that Harry is attacking the students! Now it's up to Harry and his friends to find out who is doing this so the school won't be closed, leaving Harry stuck with the Dursleys again.

This book has been turned into a movie just like the rest of the series. Reading the book is better than the movie but the movie is still pretty accurate and intense. The book, like most books, has more details than the movie. I would recommend that you read the book before you watch the movie. You will know what's going on and therefore will like the movie even more.

This book by J.K Rowling was one of the best books I've ever read. I never wanted to stop reading! The author did a great job keeping the book flowing. Not many think of Harry Potter books as mystery books, but they are some of the best mysteries I have ever read! It also was very suspenseful. I can't believe I have been missing out on such a great series! Everyone has told me to read the series and I finally decided to and so far it has been awesome. I thought that the first book was fantastic... but this one was even better! I hope each book in the rest of the series is as good as this one. I would recommend this book to anyone!
