Halo by Alexandra Adornetto

Halo is an extraordinary book full of action, and most of all romance. Bethany is a fallen angel from heaven. Yes, in this book heaven and hell are very real! Imagine when a baby first comes into the world soft, unspoiled, raw, inexperienced, and most of all sprinkled with exquisiteness and imperfection. When Bethany fell from earth it's a brand new experience That's how Bethany Church felt when she came down to earth. It is the first time Bethany's been in human form and has the chance to have human contact.
Out of Bethany's siblings she is the least experienced. Gabriel is a archangel warrior, while Ivy is a healer. Her siblings know how to stay steady and never wonder why they're there at Venus Cove. They know they're here for a mission that is their purpose. Know how to negate any unwelcome personal contact. Bethany is special angel with an alarming connection through her emotions. Even though she has never held her human form or been on earth. Bethany's siblings fear that connection which none of them have for human emotions may lead to a dangerous route for all of them including Bethany.
She and her siblings Ivy and Gabriel are brought down from heaven on a mission to save a small town called Venus Cove. Venus Cove has dark magic wrapped around the town from head to toe. It's up to Ivy, Gabriel, and Bethany to save the town from unnecessary chaos.
To start off and "blend in" Ivy jumps in the community making quilts for the homeless and offering help anyway she can. While Gabriel works as a music teacher at Bryce Hamilton High. Bethany on the other hand is young enough to be a student there.
One thing Bethany doesn't expect is falling in love with Xavier Wood. When Bethany sees Xavier Wood her heart starts pounding and she feels warm inside. Till Xavier Wood sees Bethany Church looking his way at him. Bethany falls in love with Xavier immediately the first time they met. While Xavier loved her the moment he made eye contact with her.
As Bethany finally gets comfortable in Venus Cove. Venus Cove to be more positive place. A new kid comes in town named Jake Thorne moves in when he moves in chaos errupts. When Jake moves in, Venus Cove gets looses it's postive energy and bad accidents start to happen. To make matters worse Jake gets mindless followers every day.Though Jake has a personality of getting everything we wants. Bethany just happens to be one of his targets. Jake is bitter until he gets what he wants.
The school prom is coming up for Bryce Hamilton High. Bethany is going with Xavier Woods for prom while their love progresse for each other everyday. When an unexpected accident happens to Xavier. Xavier is unable to go to prom. Which has been planned for weeks that Bethany go with him. Bethany must find a substitute for prom.
One of Bethany's friend goes in depression mourning for a lost death. She's bait for Jake's master plan. As the master plan unravels, Bethany must make a choice to save her friend and take action or listen to her siblings and wait until further help. Will she risk her life to save a friend and expose Xavier as well to Jake Thorne?
Halo is an mind bobbling book. I loved the ending of the book! Halo was an interesting book for me because it tied demons and angels in the same world. The book suggested for me would I sacrifice myself for my loved ones even if it meant dying in the process. I believe made me mad that the character Molly who's, in love with Gabriel. Gabriel in my opinion is too concentrated at the task at hand. He never has any fun in his life. While Molly a mortal that's in love with an Gabriel who just gawks at his beauty. I reacted most to the part in the book which I don't agree on is how the angels up above never help unless the problem gets really bad. When I started reading the second book in the series a terrible thing happens to Bethany. The angels up above just sit and watch. Which leaves me to decide is it best to just watch and let someone go through their problems by themselves or jump in and help? Halo is the best book EVER! I would recommend this book to anyone especially those who love a little romance. The Demons and Angels worlds all collide to Venus Cove. Angel and Demons are tied in the same world. If you read halo make sure to read Hades the second book in the series.
