Eragon ~ Christopher Paolini
Imagine if you found a dragon egg, but you didn't know what it was at first? This is what happens to Eragon.
Eragon is a boy of 15 who lives on a little farm in Carvahall, a small village in the huge Empire of Alagaƫsia. One day, Eragon goes hunting in the mountains. While hunting for meat to feed his family, a sudden explosion rocks the forest. He looks around and finds a large sapphire stone. Or so he thinks. After taking it to a trader who visits Carvahall, he is told to dispose of it as soon as possible. But when a dragon hatches from the "stone", he realizes he can't ever ignore the fact that his life is changed. The problem is that the king of the Empire is looking for a dragon egg, his egg. So when some of the king's associates called the Ra'zac kill Eragon's uncle, he plans to hunt them down. The only way he can do this, with his dragon at his side.

Even though it had a few things that were a little rusty I think that it is a book you should read though. It was very well-written, especially for a high-schooler. A-
