It all started of with a fifty year-old hobbit and an unexpected party. Bilbo, the protagonist in this book never went on adventures but, when a party of dwarves and a wizard show up at his house his whole life is changed. To start off with, the unexpected company tells him what they plan to do on their journey and their reason of it. First, Bilbo doesn't agree on going on this adventure but later that night he finally decides he needs to go. They head of the next morning but later that night they meet some ugly trolls that try to fry them alive but then they manage to escape. A while after that they search for shelter in a cave but find out that it holds thousands of goblins with their king. But then Bilbo gets lost in a cave and split up from the rest of the people. Long story short, the group kills the goblin king and angers the rest of the goblins and Bilbo got a ring in a cave that turns him invisible from a creature names Gollum. They all meet up and continue their adventure.
Now they are running from the goblins when they meet up with a shape shifter just out side of Mirkwood. He helps them with the goblins And then they head off into Mirkwood when they come in contact with a bunch of giant spiders. After that the group is in the prison of the elf king but escape with the help of Bilbo. Now they are free to continue on their adventure to the lonely mountain, as it seemed.
They finally arrived at the mountain when they travel inside it they meet the giant deadly dragon known as Smaug. But they didn't know that the goblins where still following them, this lead to a huge war. But then they all......... I would recommend picking this book up it is a great read and fantasy journey. A+
