The Maze Runner

The Maze Runner

By: James Dashner. The Maze Runner is an adventure, action, intense book. The Maze Runner seems really confusing the first chapter but, it clears up a lot.
Thomas wakes up in a black moving box. Thomas can't remember anything except his name. Soon he enters the Glade. In the glade there are sixty boys or so, along with that there is a kitchen, homesteads(where you sleep), and an office, and a giant maze with huge concrete walls. Thomas is welcomed by the some of the boys. They say that once a month a new "glader" arrives with his memory wiped. The maze is huge and every night the doors close, trapping in the grievers. Grievers are half human, half monster, they are full of spikes and deadly venom. Everyday they have runners run into the maze to try and map it so the other gladers can find there way out of this weird place. Thomas though has the urge to be  a runner.
The day after Thomas arrives, a girl arrives. A girl!  For two years it has only been boys. The twist though is she has a message saying she is the last one. She then falls into a comma. Soon after that people in the glade are in danger. The maze walls stop closing at night letting grievers out. Thomas finds out he has telepathy with the girl named Teresa. As things worsen Thomas and his friends try to find their way out of this dreadful Glade.Losing many along the way.
The Maze Runner is full of action and adventure. Along with that it is also creepy, and odd. This book makes you think and wonder what this is caused from. It does have a some violent parts in it, so if  you aren't into that stuff, maybe choose a different book but, if you are it is a great choice because it isn't overly violent.
Overall this book is amazing and the author was very creative in producing this book. I would highly recommend reading this book. It is a fun, action, adventure book for people who like this genre. I would give this book an A+!

To be honest I have been told to read this book many times now but for some reason just keep putting it off. This review really clears a few things that confused me in the series and I'm looking forward to getting a chance to read it. Who knows I may just move it up my reading list!
