Witch and Wizard: The Gift
By: James Patterson
This is a story about a brother and sister that both possess magical powers. It takes place in a post apocalyptic time period where the"New Order" has just about destroyed anything, and everything that has something to do with one's imagination. Names no longer exist, and every one's title begins with "The One Who..." The people of the New Order are ruled by The One Who Is The One, or The One for short. He is essentially an all powerful magical maniac that is also undeniably evil.  Opposing the New Order is the Resistance, led by Wisteria Rose Algood, and her brother: Whitford P. Algood who are also the main characters of this book. This is the second book of the series, but I haven't read the first one and could still get the "gist" of what was going on. In this book, Wist finds out that she has The Gift, which is the ultimate power, and she and her brother must defend themselves against the brainwashed foot soldiers of the New Order.
I found this book to be very exciting, action-packed, and at some points, very confusing. It sort of leaves you hanging, and leaves a lot of questions unanswered, but there is a third book: "The Fire." I would give this book an A, for creativity, and action, and would suggest it to people that have read, and liked the "Harry Potter" series.
