Lost Hero (Heroes of Olympus)

Before you read this you kind of have to read each one of the Percy Jackson books, since he is one of the main people of story. Now this story starts of with the main character, Jason, which wakes up on a bus holding to be what is his girlfriend, Piper. He has no idea how in the world he had got there. But he had been put in a boarding school for bad kids which he has one friend called Leo, who is a mechanical expert. Pipers father, a famous actor, has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he's in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn't recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. And this is where the story starts.

This book has some very great, detailed characters. Also they each tell part of the story and what they are thinking during all of this. What really adds to the story is that when they get messages from dreams that are really vivid. It is explained so well through this whole book. What is really cool is how the main plot for Percy Jackson fits in with this one. He has made another journey for both of the heroes that is pretty insane.

Some things are really neat, but there would be some things I would like to change with this book. First I really wish there was some more action in this book. Now I really read some action packed books so this may be just an oppinion, but I really didn't feel it had as much action as all the Percy Jackson series. Also I wish they could have started a bit earlier in his school life because I really wanted to know why he was in that school. I really thing you guys should read this book! B+

I really liked this book, but I think that it is more for kids in elemntary school, because it just seemed to childish.

Review was great, but I read the Percy Jackson books in 4th grade. Are these books higher reading level? Or do they just stay the same. That would help entice me to read this. But thanks!
