Beyonders: a world without heros
By: Brandon Mull
To start off with this was an amazing book. Beyonders is a fantasy/ action/ adventure book about a thirteen year-old boy named Jason. this character started out as a normal middle schooler that liked to play baseball and worked at his family zoo. While he was working there he heard music coming from the inside of a hippo, this made him curious to investigate so he dicieded to take a closer look. When he leaned closer he fell into the mouth of the large animal and traveled to another world known as Lyrian. The main idea of this book is how Jason travels across this new land trying to get home while meeting characters good and evil. But to return home he must travel to get syllables to a word that will destroy the evil ruler of the land, Maldor.
This was a very good and memorable book because of the new land and creatures Jason meets along the way. This author is one of my favorites because of how he can create his own world. He faces many problems such as trust in allies, minions of Maldor, evil monsters, and finding a way to his world. This book has opened my mind with what kind of stories an author can tell. This book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and shocked me with a twisted ending. I highly suggest reading it, you wont regret it. A

Ever since Brandon Mull came to our school this seemed like a good series to start reading. Thanks for the good review. It gave me a good image of this book.
