Sing Me to Sleep

Angela Morrison
This is a fiction story, and the main idea of this story is that love stories aren't always perfect.
In this story Beth is the girl the is teased every single day at school. This is due to the fact that she towers over all the kids at her school, she has long frizzy hair, and well lets just say she's not the prettiest flower in the bunch. The only way she survives her life is by singing. She's in a competitive all girl choir. At first she just sings back up but then she gets a huge solo that will change her life. Then pretty, rich Meadow decides to help Beth with her "look." After a lot of work Beth turns out to be beautiful. Derek an amazing singer from Canada takes interest for her, but not because of looks but because of her voice. They Fall in love and they truly love each other. Like most stories though there are lots of problems, but their love helps them through it.
I LOVED this book! It's different then any other love story I have ever read. Its more honest and more realistic. The little details that the author throws into the story real makes a difference.
This book doesn't end with a "Happily Ever After," but neither does life. That's what I really like about this book, I'm a realistic person.
I would encourage girls to read this book if they are looking for a good romance/drama book. But fyi this book does say some swear  words, but it's not very bad.
