Ernest Hemingway has been known to love to go to Spain, and has written a few books about life styles in Spain. His book For Whom the Bell Tolls tells the story of the Spanish civil war. The main story follows the main character named Robert Jordan. He is an American dynamiter and is sent into deep enemy territory to blow a bridge. A resistance group against the fascists group adds him in his goal to take out this key bridge. Hemingway develops a rich area in the mountains in which the book takes place. From the towns to the cave in which the resistant dwells, and even to the fascists saw mill. Every character has a very deep personality and has a meaning in their own way. The book keeps you wanting to read the book even after the climax has ended. This book well deserves an A+. The book is about 471 pages long, so a decent size. I would recommend this book by far.
